multiple tabs of same origin

DUPLICATE tabs of the same origin are suddenly showing up, i.e. two tabs of my yahoo mail.

In addition, "yesterday" I was on the FEDEX website, and ever since then, a tab for FEDEX keeps popping up, even though I didn't initiate it.

I've removed misc. add-ons that could be causing the problem, but that hasn't helped.

Any ideas. Very strange.

OK: Problem fix. I had the :]after in the HOME PAGE address. I removed it and it is fixed. Thanks.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I have followed your instructions and will have to see if it INDEED solves the issue. I had to re-enable some of my ADD-ONS (like Roboform). Thanks

Better, but not "quite there yet."

I haven't experienced the MULTIPLE tabs opening or the one, in particular, from FEDEX, but, every time I hit HOME (icon or Alt H), a new tab opens up with FIREFOX START PAGE.

Interesting.

Thanks.
