Started firefox this morning .. got the message checking addons ... then ff came up. The problem is it has changed. The firefox dropdown on top left is gone, tabs look funky and menu is a 1 dimensional uglyfest. How can i revert to previous look. I have shut off auto updates because it appears mozilla can't be trusted .. but i want the old look back

d. Second not sure why you are taking this personally. Didn't even know you so can't get mad at you.

Sorry, I use Clippings to write my responses since writing the same thing 15 times a day can be frustrating. It just so happened that I didn't remember to delete the "so getting angry with me won't do any good" part.

Please let me know on what you decide to do.
Personally, from the user side and not holding the Moderator title, I think you should at least consider using another browser because privacy and security can't be overlooked.

Thank you for trying the new Firefox. I'm sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.

I understand your frustration and surprise at the removal of these features but I can't undo these changes. I'm just a support volunteer and I do not work for Mozilla so getting angry with me won't do any good. But you can send any feedback about these changes to http://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Firefox developers collect data submitted through there then present it at the weekly Firefox meeting.

Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. I hope you’ll find one that works for you:

Or if you want to go back to a previous version, completely feel free to use the old versions. Remember that this puts your machine and personal data at an increased risk.

Note: Please remember to be wary of what sites you download from as they may advertise Firefox 22 for example and package it as a Beta, RC, or other pre-release version and may have malware/adware or other unwanted items.

Its starting to look more like Chrome... imho impossible to use for 'old' XP users like me. Tried Chrome, for a special reason, and uninstalled it (registry and all) within an hour. Maybe works better for smarty phones etc ? Hope FF doesnt go any further that way ! Is there any way to get this concern back to FF admin, in case they care ?

Update: Moses, saw your post just after submitted mine. Thanks for the info.

Moses, first thanks for the reply and I will try the links you posted. Second not sure why you are taking this personally. Didn't even know you so can't get mad at you. I think any company who changes the look of a product that much without warning customers is plain wrong and arrogant. Also the graphics are trending, like many products, toward the horrible. So to be sure you don't take this personally let me address those that did this.

Mozilla ... Shame on you.

Hey .. no worries .. i just wanted you to know i didn't blame you :) I went with the addon though I don't really like the solution (other than it works) because it makes the browser *nonstandard*. Any 'addon' becomes a weak point in the design. As for security .. i have don't allow popup windows checked and still some sites create addtional browser windows ... so for security not sure ff is doing the job to begin with.

But again .. for you no harm ... no foul as they say :) Have left my feelings at feedback but doubt it really does any good.

have a great weekend.

I have just gone to a support page that i have used many many times. Now the look is completely different with the new FF AND it doesn't remember who I am (login/pass). Why is this. The only change was FF
