Before Firefox for Android v100 it was possible to show only pinned sites in the top sites section in the home screen. Now alongside my pinned sites (currently 3) there are 2 rows of 4 sites and 2 pages. All these other sites are pages related to my work, full of test URLs, 500 or 404 pages... and so on. How do I revert it to the old behavior?

Hi,

I have looked into this and have been advised that it is a new feature that we have included in Firefox 100 that brings the same experience that users see in Firefox on the desktop.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Hi

Are these sites alongside the top sites at the top of the home page, or are they listed under "Recently visited"?

If listed under Recently visited, you can turn this off by opening the Firefox for Android menu, select Customise homepage and turn off Recently visited.

I hope that this helps.

Exactly, they are alongside the top sites. I didn't found any way to show only the pinned ones, so I hid all sites and links from the home screen and now I'm using collections instead (that also apear on the home screen). I hope the collections don't disappear in a future update.

I have the same problem with apparently random sites I've visited being displayed alongside my pinned or 'shortcut' sites. This is despite all the options for the home page in settings, except shortcuts, being switched off. Firefox for Android version 102.2.0.
