I use Mozilla Firefox and I updated it today in hopes that this would go away, but it hasn't. I downloaded Google Chrome and it's not happening on that browser. But I really like Firefox. I have done everything I could think of.

Here's what's happening: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30.../1-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30.../2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30.../3.jpg

It's the bar that appears in text boxes, on Microsoft Word, the search engine box, to show where you are about to begin typing. It appears everywhere I click and blinks. It's very annoying. I like to use the "home", "page up", "page down", and "end" buttons to navigate pages, but I can't anymore because this bar is always somewhere. It doesn't matter what website it is, it is always there. I'm very tired of it.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about or have any ideas or clues to get rid of it, please let me know.

Hit the F7 key, you probably have Caret Browsing turned on.

Your More system details list confirm that you are in caret browsing mode:

accessibility.browsewithcaret true

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.

Thank you guys! I feel ridiculous, I have no memory of pushing F7. But it's gone! Thanks again!
