I have firefox 6.0.2 for linux and I am running Kubuntu 8.04. When I try to connect to www.elpais.com there is a blue band with links to the different sections: Inicio Internacional Politica , etc... that does NOT show in firefox. I just tried it with Seamonkey 2.0.11 and the blue band with links is shown properly. In firefox, you just get a blue band but no links (just the first one: Inicio). You can hover the mouse over the blue band and see that the links are there (just not visible). You can click on them without the text being shown, and they work. This is very annoying.

I have added two screenshots: from firefox and seamonkey, to see the difference.

OK, I figured it out on my own: I had to allow websites to choose their own fonts, in Preferences > Content > Fonts&color > Advanced
