I have Shockwave Player 11 and it's outdated. I tried to update it a few times, but the plugin check keeps searching. I finally found there is no update. I went to the Official Site to download and install the latest version, but the plugin doesn't show it.

I think you are confusing Adobe Flash and Adobe Shockwave

and check for updates from here

The updates link you sent me was broken so I reported it to Mozilla, but thanks for sending it anyway. Now regarding your comment about my confusion, I did look up Shockwave in the add-ons but there is none. And I said I got the latest version which is Shockwave 12 from the Official Site, but my plugins show Shockwave 11 which is frustrating. Why doesn't Mozilla have the latest version when I was able to get it from the Official Site and could have gotten it from other sites too?

It's possible I was confused between Flash and Shockwave but my plugins show everything is fine now. My problem now is the plugins status check. How long is it supposed to take? I can't remember how long it took the first time I started it which was when I was trying to update my player.

Thanks for the information on the players. Maybe I WAS confused between Flash and Shockwave as Waka_Flocka_Flame said, but my plugins say all is fine now. My new problem is the plugins status check. The first time I used it was awhile back trying to update the play I was talking about. It went for maybe an hour when I stopped it. I waited longer another time and had to stop it again. It shouldn't take long at all so what's wrong?
