When I work with FireFox and a language translator (http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/who%20cares), google audio ads keep interfering with the language audio. I avoid google and google search like the plague, but their ads keep ticking me off! Pop-up blocker is checked in the Tools/Options menu, but that does not prevent the ads from popping up! (I resent my computer being bombarded with stuff I do not want! I do not like stuff forced on me by google's cussed advertising Nazis).

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
