Trying to watch https://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/news/180423-tahquamenon-falls-night-sky-milky-way-time-lapse-travel-vin-spd?source=relatedvideo --- the video is blocked (black) because (I supposed) is part of the mixed content thing, but there is no option "disable protection"...

The content should not be blocked (it plays for me) so the video displayed in black must have another reason. The message and yellow warning triangle in the grey padlock you see is only a warning about mixed content being present, but not blocked, hence there is no option to disable protection. See Mixed content blocking in Firefox for more info.

Does the video play right after starting Firefox? If not, does it play when you disable hardware acceleration? See Firefox's performance settings for more info. Also try Safe Mode to see if one of your add-ons is causing the issue.

Ok --- it was AdBlock+ that stopped the video.

Thanks,

I still can't unblock mixed content (for example https://www.allisonpardermarketing.com/)

Hi codywohlers

Could you please start a new thread for your question?

Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions/plugins.

What makes you think that mixed content is blocked?

I see this warning in the Web Console, so nothing is blocked with the default settings for mixed content.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
