Problem: "A unique identity matching the From address was not found"
After a recent upgrade of Thunderbird, I am getting the following message: "A unique identity matching the From address was not found. The message will be sent using the current From field and settings from identity ------------" In addition to no links being "live" in received messages that are in my Inbox, there are no longer options available to "reply" or "forward" etc.!
I haven't a CLUE how to troubleshoot this and have never had this problem before in the 3 years I've used Thunderbird?

I'm sorry contributors here seem offended.... As I do not know who you are, other then your handle descriptions? I see one is from Great Britain and one from Australia. I'm in the USA Wild West, and seems Brits have always had a bit of problem with us "Colonists" lol! You seem to label me as not understanding .....I understand your instructions, but having followed such instructions before, and mucking around in files and add-ons has led me to more then one PC and program disasters... As you said, you do not know the exact cause of this bug. This is first time in many years have had any problem with TB. I did see some fixed it with an account re-install, which seemed logical, as almost every time I have called any program support, that's the first thing they tell you to do. It did fix my problem, but caused another problem, as I have two addresses on same ISP address that TB pulls from, and using POP, with all my sent messages on my pc, the re-install only re-populated the inbox messages as I had left them on the ISP email server. I lost all my sent messages, which I have in a back-up. So, I learned somethings about TB and what a re-install entails. Have fixed that now, without any add on or deleting any files. I would like to know why a re-install fixed it? Perhaps I had something changed in my preferences I did not notice? With a few here complaining of it after the update, that is suspicious....And, I'am glad Mozilla is still, somewhat, supporting TB. Will be waiting to see if the cause is found.
Cheers, Thank your for your time.

No not you. You asked for specific information. This question was raised by someone who does not appear to understand the instructions, which is ok, some people need more information, but if they refuse to tell me what it is they do not understand then I cannot help them.
