Latest version of Firefox causes my MacBook Pro to overheat.
Ever since I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, it causes my MacBook Pro to run hot and overheat. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by; Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.

Hi there. The problem of overheating isn't unheard of. It could be that you are browsing on Flash intensive websites with your browser (Firefox). Flash can often be a cpu hog especially if you are playing flash based games or the likes. Try checking if there are any particular websites that make the browser cause your system's overheating. If the problem persists try rebooting your computer. I hope this helps.

No dice...it seems that Facebook is the main culprit.
