After firefox updated to 43.0.1 and reinstalled java to newest version, firefox won't accept it as a plugin, can't find it, can't install it.

hi admiralk, that's to be expected when using win64 builds - windows 64bit versions come with limited plugin support (only flash and silverlight are whitelisted). if you depend on other npapi plugins please continue to use regular 32bit builds.

this is by design, as mozilla wants to take a clean slate approach to plugins on win 64bit apparently: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/win64/meetingarchive#Clean_Slate_Approach
