Printing Webpages Using Firefox: Issue Resolved
Version 73.0.1
When printing a webpage from Firefox (Open Menu->Print), the print preview mode is displayed. On most websites with multiple pages, each page displays the full text in order.
However, on some websites with multiple pages, the first page displays text but the second page only shows the header in the top left and the website in the top right but the page is blank. On other webpages, full webpage text is displayed but it is out of order.
When using Opera, the webpages that showed blank text or out of order text in Firefox are displayed completely and in the correct order.
Is it a website browser compatibility and configuration issue (the webpage is only configured correctly for certain browsers) or Is this a known Firefox glitch that causes some pages not to be displayed correctly in print preview mode?
I hope that my question is clear.

One last question.
I tested the add-on by selecting the first option to view this forum page in preview but there was an error message: 'Error: Missing host permission for the tab and any iframes.'
I was signed into Hotmail Outlook and tested the add-on by selecting the first option to view but it did not display the page correctly.
Why won't the add-on work on these webpages?

You will see that on restricted sites, like this site and the Add-ons site. No add-ons can inject scripts into restricted sites.
To be clear:
1. Since this website and the Hotmail Outlook website are considered 'restricted sites,' preview using the add-on will not display them correctly?
2. Since this website is considered a 'restricted site,' preview without the add-on (in regular mode) will not display it correctly either?
3. Even though Hotmail Outlook is considered a 'restricted site,' preview in regular mode will display it correctly?

Hi Buddy2014, first, the add-on does not modify how Print Preview works. It injects changes into the current page to modify how the page is laid out for printing. You can see this difference -- or see no change -- when you use Print Preview.
Second, this site and various other Mozilla sites are restricted sites that add-ons cannot modify. Microsoft sites are not on the restricted sites list. Does the add-on report a missing host permission for a Microsoft site?
Third, the extension is not a cure-all for printing problems. It addresses specific issues by making specific changes. If there is a page that doesn't print correctly and you want me to take a look at it, let me know what page it is.
Thanks!
How do I add on "printable -the print doctor"? I followed the link, I'm signed in, but I don't see anything to click to download it. The only download that I see is to download firefox which I already have. Can you please tell me how to add this extension/add-on? Thank you.

The Add-ons site does not recognize your Firefox's "user agent" string. This can be caused by extra stuff being added at the end. You can use a test page like the following to see what your Firefox is telling sites about your browser (the red text is the user agent string):
https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/jstest.php
It should end with Firefox/76.0 (or whatever number you have installed). If there's anything after that, it can cause problems on the Add-ons site.
