How can I keep the links I click on from being highlighted, especially when I visit the site next time?

Whenever I visit a site (like craigslist) the links I click on are highlighted (or turn from blue to purple) and saved even the next time I visit the site, thus allowing the next person to see exactly which links I have chosen. Is there a way to turn off this application?

Visited links show up as visited as long as they are in the history. So remove the history from that site if you do not want to show them up as visited. You can do that in the History sidebar (Ctrl+H).
