I tried to install a new version of Firefox, replacing the older one. Can I recover my older one, w/bookmarks, etc.

I downloaded a newer version of Firefox, which I later noticed that my Mac OS X 10.4.11 does not support. I dragged it into the Applications folder, replacing the older version. Is there any way to recover that older version, especially the bookmarks that had saved passwords. Thanks.

hello, firefox 3.6.28 has been the last version which ran on mac is x 10.4, but it is now deprecated and affected by numerous known vulnerabilities - you can find a download link at Firefox no longer works with Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC processors.

if you're on a mac with an intel processor you could probably upgrade to mac os x 10.6 which is still supported - the latest firefox versions will run fine on snow leopard: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

edit: & your old profile which contains your bookmarks etc. should still be there when you downgrade your firefox version or update your operating system...
