How do you revert back from the modified default "save attachments" to be able to print attachments without saving first?

My client states that her installation of Thunderbird allowed the default for .pdf attachments to open and print the attachment without having to "save " the attachment first. My client mistakenly chose to modify the default to "save" the attachments when opened from the email. I need to change it back to the original default options to be able to "open" the attachments without having to reinstall the entire application. Is that possible to do through the advanced configuration editor?
