I received an attachement. I opened it, modified it and saved it but without specifying the folder, thinking it was the version I had already in my computer. I dont find this modified version in my computer. Can I get it back or is it lost... Thanks

No one here knows where you specified to save the file on YOUR computer. Thunderbird does not control that. You can open the file again and select Save. It will more than likely try to save in the same location. Pay attention to the location this time to see where you saved it. If that location is not to your liking, specify another location and then delete the first save attempt.
