Firefox ESR versioning

more options

Hello,

Firefox 29 presents us an issue with how it is now marking downloaded files from an internal site as unsafe. I just learned about Firefox ESR. It appears that Firefox ESR 24.5 doesn't mark downloaded files like Firefox 29 does. I assume this is due to the version of Firefox ESR. Will Firefox ESR delay going to this feature for the foreseeable future?

Thanks

Hello,

The saving of zone information for downloaded files can be disabled in Windows.

ESR is a special version for organizations. It's based off a certain version of Firefox, but it has added security patches comparable to the latest release version. At the moment, ESR is based off Firefox 24. Once its major version jumps to 31, its behavior will be in line with that particular version of Firefox.
