Hi,

Find works on pages on the internet but not on pages stored locally on my machine. So if I open a file e.g. http://localhost:4040/environment in Firefox, and I search for text e.g 'spark' , it will not find the text though it exists on that page.

Thanks for your help

Is that happening with XML files or with other file types like HTML or text files as well?

I have only tested it with an html page. Do you want me to test it with other formats?

A possible workaround could be to open the page and search there.

  • Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
  • Tools > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl+U)
  • right-click on a web page and select View Page Source in the context menu

Thanks for the workaround, but the core issue puzzles me and it would be nice to figure out why it is so
