Hello,

  1. You can click and drag the site identity button (padlock or globe icon to the left of the web link on your address bar) to your desktop.
  2. Another way is to copy the web address, right click on your desktop and select New > Shortcut, and paste the web address in the box for the "location of the item".
  3. A third way is to create another Firefox/Internet Explorer/Chrome/etc shortcut on your desktop, right click the shortcut and select properties. Under the Shortcut tab, paste the web address after the ".exe" part of the target line.

The latter (creating a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut and appending the URL to the target line) will insure that you use Firefox to open such a desktop shortcut. A regular internet shortcut will open the default browser.
