I have tried to download Firefox but get error mes asking me to check internet conection, but I can use another browser on same machine no trouble

I have been trying to download Firefox to my Linux ubuntu but I get error message to say download as failed check my internet connection, this must be all right as I can browse the web on other browser.

Use the other browser to download the full installer. Save the file, then run the installer.
