Adobe Reader add-on is current, Firefox 35.0.1 reports vulnerable and suggests updating it
I have updated the Flash and Reader apps and plug-ins. The current Reader version is 10.1.4.38. Firefox insists that it is needing updating, even though I just updated it. The Reader installer reports that the current version is installed every time I run it again. I had the same problem with Flash, but when I updated it again after upgrading Firefox to 35.0.1 it was now accepted by Firefox. The current version for Flash is 16.0.0.305. What can I do to make Firefox accept that 10.1.4.38 is the current version of Reader?
My ability to be online is sporadic. I will answer any questions or try any requests as I am able to read the emails. Please bear with me, as I do wish to correct this issue. Firefox is, and has been since Netscape 2.0, my favorite browser. I want to help keep it the best browser out there.
Thank you, WayneCa

10.1.4 is not the current (came out back Aug 2012 ) but is is the last full version they provide for download of the 10.0 version however they due have update file for 10.x
Adobe Reader 10.0 to 10.1.5.* has been blocked for your protection. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p158 (Blocked on October 5, 2012)
There is Adobe Reader 11.0.10 though it seems like Adobe still provides only 10.1.4 and not any current full 10.x version http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ yet newer 10.x versions update files are at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows including the 10.1.13 which came out on Dec 9, 2014.

Thank you James. Your answer led me to the correct version. From the last link you provided I found the Reader XI installer. the 11.0.10 updater and the spelling dictionary pack for 11.0. They are now installed and Firefox is happy. :)
Thank you for your help.
