I foolishly downloaded a application from download.com and set Firefox to search with Yahoo, and the like. I've managed to delete most of this, but am left with a tab that does not seem to be deleted from my history. I have my preferences set to delete history on close, and anything recent does indeed go; but the browser opens with two tabs, one my homepage (which is normal) and a tab with a page that I opened as I searched for a way to deal with this. It is not from a recent session, although since it opens every time I launch Firefox, in a sense it is. I've tried manually deleting the preference, I have a "forget" button, I just can't get rid of it. Something, somewhere, is remembering my history...

Chosen solution

Ah, I've solved it. This tab opened everytime I clicked on home - some sort of bug there, so I reset the home page and the problem has disappeared.
