Firefox 38.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. No longer displays or downloads PDFs. Have Midori installed as well and this is working fine with addresses copied from firefox.

I have re-installed Firefox this morning. The problem is the same blank tab opened when a download link is clicked but download never starts.
