How do I recover my bookmarks from an external drive backup?

more options

I am a mac user, and have an external drive backup. Here's my dilemma, I was having issues with my Mac, so Apple service formatted my hard drive, which I thought would be fine, because I have all my files backed up. Now, however, I can't find how to restore my firefox bookmarks. I've gone into the backup files to the library file, then application support file, however there are no firefox files. Are these files hidden? If so, what do I need to do to see them in my backup files?

I did not know to sync them before he formatted the drive. I thought I could access everything because I had a full backup. What can I do?

How were the backups created? Did you straight copy the files? What folder were they backed up to?
