Will resetting my password erase synced data off of a mobile phone?

more options

After having to replace my hard drive and restore my computer from a backup, it seems I've forgotten what my sync password was. All the data I care about (passwords, history) is still synced to my mobile phone. If I go ahead and reset my password, can that data then be synced back to my computer from the mobile phone, or will it all be erased off of the phone?

Chosen solution

Changing your Sync password wipes your data from the Sync servers, but not from any other devices.
