OS : Windows 7 Device : Lenovo 3000 G430 Laptop Drivers : Updated

Firefox Version : 40.0.3 (Latest Stable Version) Flash : Not installed

Plugins : Ghostery (Last updated on 13th Sep, 2015)

Affected Site : Putlocker

JW-player just freezes playing video but the audio keeps on playing. Sometimes the audio gets muted.

Not a single issue on Google Chrome. I've been using FireFox since 2003, I SERIOUSLY want to change to another browser because of this issue.

1. Tried installing Flash player (version 18, latest) 2. Tried no-flash & HTML5 plugin 3. Tried removing Ghostry

And yes, I did see the same question asked by a few users, but none of the replies or solutions helped.

Thank you in advance.

Chosen solution

Ok, after 2 hours of trial and error, here goes a solution (I wonder).

1. Install latest version of flash player for Firefox (18 today) 2. Play any video, right click on it, select the 'settings' (flash settings, not the global) 3. DISABLE 'hardware acceleration' 4. Live happily ever after.

I also went to 'manage your add-ons' in FF and changed the activation status of flash to 'ask to activate'

(OR, use Google Chrome)
