I had a mail folder conatining around 20 subfolders.

A few minutes ago, mails that would normally be filtered into it reported errors. I looked and saw the folder and all its contents were gone. I did not ask it to do this.

Allowed update to 38.3.0 this morning.

Loads of info lost. Any ideas? Deleted folder is empty.

Help!

Update...

Activity Manager shows synching in progress for folder and subfolders. Perhaps it is fixing itself?

Or not fixing itself... Activity Manager has looked like this for 3 hours.

Any ideas?

Following update many anti virus firewall block Thunderbird's attempts to connect to the internet. Norton Internet security features prominently in this list, but is not alone. Check the firewall component and ensure it is allowing Thunderbird and allowing the correct version. With NIS it appears the auto setting is not sufficient and you must explicitly allow access.
