Thunderbird has my correct BT password but I cannot down load my e-mails.

I get the message

Sending of password for user islanderuk@btopenworld.com did not succeed. Mail server mail.btinternet.com responded: (#MBR1213) Please verify your account by going to https://login.yahoo.com

I have logged on to https://login.yahoo.com and can get to my e-mail account using the same password as that registered with the Thunderbird

I have no trouble getting on to the BT Mail server using the same password on my wifes' computer by she is using Windows live mail

Any idea what the problem might be

Chosen solution

Try to delete the password Thunderbird has remembered for your BT account. You'll then be prompted to enter the password when needed. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_and_changing_email_passwords
