Key Board stopped functioning:

Yesterday, I downloaded a few firefox add ons, relating to privacy and annyomous vpn. I'm not certain which add ons I used, as I reinstalled Firefox today. It may have been HOXX VPN or Zen Mate, and Privacy Protector. Sorry I can't be more specific. Are there known bugs for these type of add ons? Is there a solution or work around if the keyboard stops working again? Thanks in advance.

Addons can cause all sorts of issues depending on what the intended function is. From what you have described, it is very possible that this is the case in your situation.

You can view this Mozilla support article for information on troubleshooting this type of issue:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Disable those add-ons. Then restart Firefox. Is the problem gone?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Flash Player Version: 20.0.0.306

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Adobe still offers Flash 18.0.0.326 as its extended support release further down

Some have reported that pressing F9 and the Windows key simultaneously one or more times has worked to fix issues with the keyboard not working. If this doesn't help then close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer (you may have to reboot more than once).
