Firefox crashes
Every time I try to load Firefox it crashes. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox but I still get the same problem. I am running Windows 7 on a Desktop computer. Firefox has been working fine on this system until today. Suddenly it won't load - it crashes when I try to start it. I try to start it in safe mode and it still crashes. I have been trying to find some sort of crash id, but I cannot find one.

Hi John99. Thanks for your help. I have uninstalled the freecorder software and Firefox now starts and runs ok. I am always somewhat mystified by problems like this - I have been running Freecorder software with Firefox for years without a problem, and then suddenly a major problem like this occurs seemingly out of the blue. Anyway thanks very much for your prompt and helpful reply.

Hi awilson62, Well done for managing to get Crash IDs for a startup crash,
This crash has a signature that is not seen much. The cause appears highly likely to be the use of the FLVSrvLib.dll module, which seems part of "Freecorder" by "Applian Technologies".
Are you able to disable Freecorder ? It has been reported that uninstalling Freecorder solves this issue.
Does that stop the startup crashes ?
Freecorder may have newer or alternative software that works with Firefox
- Their support site with Faqs & uninstal instructions appears to be http://freecorder.com/fc8/support.php#
