why can't you automatically update the flash player upon downloading and installing?
I have to use the library computers to do my internet stuff, which usually includes playing Contract Wars on Facebook or Kongregate. The computers don't have Firefox by default so i have to install it myself, and every time i do, i also have to update the flash player. Yandex browser updates Flashplayer automatically when i install it, so why can't you guys?

The Flash Player plugin is the property of Adobe and is independent of Firefox. Therefore, all permissions for updating are set outside of Firefox, so Firefox would not be allowed to automatically update a product that is not property of Mozilla.
Unlike Extensions and Themes (complete) which are installed into Firefox, the NPAPI Plugins whether on Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux are installed on the system. In Firefox type about:plugins to see where the Plugins Firefox is making use of are located on system.
The Yandex browser is a freeware based on the Chromium open source project which can explain why it has the Pepper Flash player upon install or update.

I'm surprised the library lets you install software on its computers. Perhaps they just wipe them every night and that's why Firefox isn't there the next time. Why not suggest to the library staff that they preinstall the software you would find useful for your... er... "research"?
