Somehow, my font color for the mouse over tips when you hover the cursor over a tab or link has changed from Black font on white background to yellow font on white background. this has made the mouse over tips unreadable for me. Any suggestions on how to change it back to black fonts on white background? Is it possible an addon has caused this?

You can start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
