Hidy ho all,

On windows 8.1 pro on my laptop, Every time I create an event on a remote calendar, it advances or subtracts times of that event by 3 hours.

For example, today I created an event for tomorrow on my phone. When I went to sync that event to my local calendar, it was 3 hours ahead of what I set it. I fixed the time locally, then my google calendar said it was 3 hours behind the time I just set it.

I just checked, and this seems to be a problem only on my 8.1 pro laptop. My win 7 pro desktop, doesn't seem to have this issue.

The timezone on my laptop is correct (est), and when I googled this I got some articles about setting the environment variables, and removing the tv variable. But I can't seem to find that variable on my system. What else can I check for this issue?

That was it! Thanks for your help. Not sure why it didn't default to NYC for me, but it is what it is.
