I installed Thunderbird on a new computer and connected to my email server. I managed to download new emails on the new computer, but when I downloaded on my old computer, all of the emails disappeared on the new computer and appeared on the old one. I cannot see old emails on the new computer either. Thanks.

If you want to work with your email messages on more than one computer then you really need to be using IMAP.

Under Tools|Account Settings|{select account}|Server Settings it will say "Server type:" and then either POP or IMAP. What do your two computers say?

Wasn't easy, had to create a new account and select IMAP and rename the old POP account to a different name, but it worked. Thanks.
