I don't manage to make Firefox work with both gmail.com and to open my last session on opening Firefox - looks like I have to choose one of the two?

Hi, I was not able to open my email (gmail.com), and found help on the internet that solved the problem. (Options-Privacy-Use Custom settings for history - Always use private browsing mode (to enable cookies that seemed to be the problem)). Then a new issue appeared. I would like my last session to open when starting Firefox. When seeking help on the internet, I read that the option "Always use private browsing mode" should not be chosen. Which means that I cannot enable cookies? Anyway, the start option "Show my windows and tabs from last time" switches back to "Show my homepage" on opening I hope you can help me with this (I haven't had this problem on my other computer that also runs Windows 10.

Hi nisk, you should be able to use cookies in regular (non-private) windows. What settings do you have on the Options page, Privacy section, below the automatic private browsing checkbox? This article describes how to make your cookie settings liberal for maximum compatibility (but not maximum privacy): Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them.
