How can I install Skype with Firefox instead of Explorer

more options

When I tried to download Skype it failed and said I needed to go into Internet Explorer/Internet Options and check that "TLS options are enabled". I couldn't figure out how to do this.

Where were you trying to download from? Was it:

https://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-windows/

Often the installers you download will be incomplete and need to connect to the server for additional files. That probably usually wouldn't show up until the download is completed and you run the download from Firefox's "arrow" icon on the toolbar.
