Can I create a new folder within a bookmark folder
Running v.50.1.0 on W7 Home Premium. Wish to have a "sub-folder" within an existing bookmarks folder to group some of the existing links and make the existing folder more convenient. The instructions for doing that that I can find result in a new folder along the bookmarks bar rather than within the folder I have in mind. What am I doing wrong?

You need to right-click in the folder where you want to create the new folder. If you right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar then you create the new folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar. If you click a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar and right-click in that folder or in a deeper nested folder then you create a new folder or bookmark in that folder.

Hi
You should be able to right click on the folder that you want to create the sub-folder in and select New Folder... . This will then create a new sub folder.
I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
Doing that creates a new folder on the bookmarks bar. I had already tried that. But, on a whim, I did that again and then dragged the newly created folder to the folder I wanted it to be in, and that worked. Once I had the new folder, I then dragged links from the parent folder to the new one. Looks like I'm good to go. Perhaps this additional step should be included in the procedure suggested on the site.

Thanks for steering me straight there. Now I understand, for future reference.
