Why streaming audio has stopped working this morning from a specific website. Works with other browsers
Good morning, I listen to live audio from http://wmmr.com/shows/preston-and-steve/ every morning This morning it did not play audio even though it appears to be coming into my PC, (see attached) there is no sound Every other link from the website works fine, youtube.com works fine, windows sounds work fine. Just this live stream stopped playing audio through FireFox. Works fine in other browsers (IE, Chrome, etc). Please help
Thank you
Best regards,
Frankie V.

Two things I can think of that you could try :
Options => Add-ons => Plugins => Shockwave Flash : Set it to 'Never activate' and see if that will make a difference.
(Edit : removed the dumb remark about installing the VLC Media Player)

Hello all, Ok....found where extensions are listed (Menu on top right of page under add-ons) and page is blank. Says I have no add-ons or extensions
Would you click on the 'More System Details' to the right of your original post here - it says under Extensions : Package 4.0.16 (@Package)
But since you posted this over a month ago it may already have been removed .......
Have you tried about:studies yet, just to make sure ?

Okay, you posted this while I was typing my last reply ......
No studies then. No Package 4.0.16 (@Package) to be found - must have been removed somehow.
All and all we've still got a prolem to solve here and I sure hope that somebody will come to your rescue soon !
It was you saying :
Ha...now it works in safe mode It did not before "
That made me want to check your extensions and that's when I saw that Package 4.0.16 (@Package) ........
Yes...that has how I have been listening to my radio show....with FF in safe mode

Also tried the suggestion above 'Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.' and removed old legacy extenstions. Still no change. Thanks for trying to help but I think the IT coders at Mozilla need to address this.
Do you have the exact same problem as the OP ?
At this page only : http://wmmr.com/shows/preston-and-steve/
Sounds like it, happens to me on previously available Streema, iHeart, etc. And my station is WMGK, also a Philly station as the other person.
FYI....their (WMMR's and WMGK's) websites look identical...lol

Might be a good idea if you started your own thread and post a new
question (click on the 'Ask a question' at the top of this page).
Then describe the exact nature of the problem - you'd stand a better change getting an aswer, directed at you only. Totally up to you of course ...... but it's rather confusing 'talking' to two people, with slightly different problems, in the same thread.
@ FrankieFatgoose :
When you've figured out whether or not you still have the same problem when you're not in Safe Mode : please, let us know. But take all the time you need !
