Audio on youtube is extremely low. All other audio OK and youtube on Safari OK. What's up with youtube on Firefox? Flashplayer is up to date.

It seems you are working with Firefox 55, the last Stable version is 56. Do you have the possibility toinstall this newest version and test again?

Hello maine123, what do you mean by the Audio is slow? Are videos freezing? If yes, it may be a bandwidth issue.

First of all, can you try to watch videos on youtube in safe most and tell us if it happens again?

I assume that this is about the volume of the sound.

Did you check both the volume setting in the player and in the operating system?

Try to clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Audio on all platforms, except youtube on Firefox seems to be fine (so far). (Youtube on Safari is fine.) On youtube it's barely audible on the highest volume setting on the monitor. I cleared the cache and cookies per above and no change. On safe mode the volume is slightly louder and is fluctuating louder and quieter over time but never the loudness of other websites. This started last weekend if you know of any updates. Otherwise I haven't changed any settings in a year. Thanks!
