I have downloaded the Firefox Installer_exe file to my new win 10 computer. I expected that I would click on it and it would run. Instead windows asks me what program would I like to open the file with - explorer, paint, wordpad, etc. I do not want to open the file, I want to run it. I tried typing the filename in the run bar( win key and r) that did not work. I don't know what to do this win 10 is not as intuitive as win xp was. Please help me.

I would think the file is corrupted and that is why it will not open with a double click. Download a Full Version 56.0.1 Installer here : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Make sure that the file extension is .exe and not _exe.
