Firefox updated automatically this morning. Now the onscreen symbols I used to find bookmarks etc are gone. There is no information given on how to use this horrible update. What level of expertise am I expected to have to use this? What a total waste of my time.

Photon is a new design that creates a fluid, native experience on every operating system. There is more room above the tabs, so you can move your windows, the search bar and address bar now have the option to be combined or separated, and the menus in Firefox are organized by common tasks.

In order to customize all your favorite functions, you can use the ‘Customize’ setting in this new menu. Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

hi, in the firefox quantum default layout the combined library icon for bookmarks/history/downloads...) is replacing your bookmarks button that you're used to - when you go into customization mode, you can place the dedicated bookmarks button back onto the toolbar though ;-)
