Remove needing a password to access Thunderbird
I have not been able to access my inbox for 2 months since I changed my ISP & password.
Thunderbird has allowed me to use my new email address but seems like it wants my previous password which is not linked to my currant email address. I try to change the password but it wont let me do it. My old A/c. with my previous provider, did not have a password. I did get a lot of junk mail so thought a password might help to reduce this. Can I remove the password request altogether
& allow access to my inbox?
Thank you Alex

All email accounts have a password. This is a provider requirement and has nothing to do with Thunderbird. You can tell Thunderbird to remember the password and enter it for you when the providers server asks for it.
