My firefox is driving me nuts. I am using mac desktop and when I type in the website addresses into firefox it has stopped remembering them. How do I fix this?

It is still remembering passwords.

I do have an Old Firefox data folder on the desktop.

I have uninstalled the program and loaded a new one today still no fix.

This is the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.1 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Note : Updated version # has some fixes for a Mac

You or Firefox have turn off the New Tab Features they can be put back with the tiny gear icon upper right corner of a new tab if choose to do so or options as to what is there.
