I want to use Thunderbird for all my private email accounts.
One email account I could install, but I can't add any other accounts, despite the login information is correct, which I tested with all other (3) email accounts, locking into that accounts through their website. After entering all required information Thunderbird with all 3 other accounts keeps telling me, that the login information is not correct. I choose pop 3, because I've chosen it with my first account already and it was working. Can anybody give me a tip, how to add additional email accounts to Thunderbird. Thanks in Advance.

Make sure that POP3 access is enabled for the accounts that you're trying to set up. POP3 access is often disabled by default. You will be able to check this through the settings pages that you can get to from the webmail interface.
Also, some email providers may require you to allow what they regard as "less secure apps" to access your account, so you may need to set this up if you still can't access your account after enabling POP3 access.
Thanks for your reply. I will check asap.
What email provider? What anti virus program?
Up to now I use Thunderbird for a web.de email account with no problems. Now I would like to add 2 more gmail accounts and an Outlook mail account. Up to now I tried to adjust everything possible with the gmail accounts, but Thunderbird does not accept them. Outlook I did not try up to now. The anti virus program is Symantec. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your answer.
