forward e-mail as attachment
When I like to forward a received to the fraud-helpdesk The fraud helpdesk wants to receive a spam- or phishing e-mail as an attachment rather than it is forwarded. So I have received a phishing mail and like to send that phishing mail as an attachment to the fraud-helpdesk. Then they can analyze the phishing mail better than when it was forwarded Is that possible with Thunderbird?

Just in case anyone else locates this question and would like to know how to attach an email to new message. Options: 1. Right click on email and select 'Forward as' > 'Attachment' This opens a new 'Write' message using the email Subject details as a Fwd in subject and placing the actual email as an attachment. Complete all other details such as 'To' field and comments and Click on 'Send'.
2. click on 'Write' to open a new Write message. Move window to the side, so it does not obscure your email list. Complete all details in the email. Left click and hold down on the email you want to add as an attachment and drag over to 'Write' window and hover over the area to the the right side of 'FROM, TO' headers. An 'attachment' area appears, release the mouse to drop the email as an attachment.
Note: in versions 60*, you can enable the attachment area so it becomes visible. The localized access key of the attachment pane (e.g. Alt+M for English) now also works to show or hide the pane (on Mac, it’s always Ctrl+M). Hiding a non-empty attachment pane will now show a placeholder paperclip to indicate the presence of attachments and avoid sending them accidentally. The attachment pane can also be shown initially when composing a new message: Right-click on the pane header to enable this option.
