Fake Ads in Firefox

more options

Hi Guys,

I noticed recently I start getting fake ads whenever I do a search.

Laptop: Macbook Pro 2017 Brower: Firefox Search Engine: Google

The result will appear as normal, a few seconds later the browser refreshes and comes the ads at the result of the search. I have tried to uninstall and install or scan for adware, malware in my Mac but to no avail.

Other browsers like Chrome and Safari do not have this issue.

hi, could you test if the same thing is happening when you launch firefox in safemode once in order to check if one of your installed addons in firefox might be responsible for that: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

Thanks, it works, I am able to identify the specific add-on that was causing the problem.
