Hi Alan, there isn't a way to add any new bars, sorry.

Some users customize the Bookmarks Toolbar to "wrap" and continue on a second row. This is done using a custom style rule in an optional userChrome.css file. If you haven't heard about this before, it's about a 10 minute project to set up.
