After upgrading to Mac OS 10.15.1 Thunderbird reported error that I cannot use the profile because it is in use. Default would work. After investigation removed .parentlock from ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/ . Then error message changed to A Copy of Thunderbird is Already Open. Still can open default, but none of our other profiles. Any suggestions?

Is this a stupid question? Not seeing any suggestions. Thanks.

Have you since solved your problem? (so that we know if you still need help)

Or if you did solve it, how did you solve it? (so that others can learn)

And since you are on a Mac, make sure you installed Thunderbird in the the Mac applications, and are not running Thunderbird from the downloaded dmg file.
