when entering text in a form I see auto listed prior entries often showing my incorrect entry which I want to delete from this list

this solution does not work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1176202

Solution should be to right click on the bad listed entry to delete it --- Any suggestions ?

Hello EventHorizon,

Would you try this please :

Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list. Then highlight an entry in the drop-down list using the cursor Down key (arrow key). (Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter) Press the Delete key to delete the highlighted entry. Repeat till only the correct username is left. (Don't click the mouse and don't press Enter)

(Hovering with the mouse no longer works)

Does that work for you  ?

In current Firefox releases including Nightly you likely need select the entry with the cursor key in the drop-down list and press Shift+Delete to remove this entry. This used to be Delete on Windows and Linux (Mac already used Shift+Delete), but this got changed a while back to Shift+Delete for all platforms.
