Can't uninstall firefox

more options

I can't uninstall firefox. When I go to remove programs a message comes up that the computer can't find helper.exe (which is the uninstall program). I then copied and pasted a helper.exe from another computer. I can open the exe as an administrator but then nothing further happens. I also tried downloading firefox again, but it won't install, presumably because I have to uninstall the previous version first.

I've sorted the issue (by uninstalling via windows 7) so no need to reply

For future reference by others who might come across this thread, how is that different from using the Add/Remove Programs control panel?

Sorry I don't remember how I did it. I just tried lots of different things.
